2/28/2012
The results of the UIL Referendum Ballot
on the race distance for girls
cross-country have been released
Superintendents across
the state were asked whether they
favored increasing the distance for
girls cross country from two miles to
5000 meters (3.1 miles). Superintendents
in 4A and 5A voted in favor of
increasing the distance to 5000 meters,
while those in 1A, 2A and 3A voted to
keep the distance at two miles.
